NYC Bloggin' Beauts Volume 2: Fall 2009

Hi Everybody!

Following on the heels of a successful Bloggin' Beauts get together, I present to you the Fall Get Together - Bloggin' Beauts Volume 2!

Some of you had the chance to experience the event last time, and I would love to continue meeting up and networking with New York blogging divas as well as finding out about tried and true products along with new lines to the market or just my product junkie eyes. I have to admit, it's also one of the many blessings we get from living in the metro area that we are so close to and get to meet so many PR reps and companies face to face.

So without further ado, here are the deets:

• The event will be Sunday, September 20, 2009. We will meet at 2pm and rejoice as long as we want, but not past 8pm :).
  
• Location as always is TBA. I am looking for a new and nifty location, but if not, we will have to recycle and reuse the last one. A lot of you were happy with it last time, so two for two won't be so bad.
• To cover costs and food, the entrance fee will be $15, this is a drop from the first time. I do ask that you send the money before hand (Paypal) and guarantee your money back if you cannot make it.
• To promote the event, all Bloggin' Beauts that made it to the past event are eligible to choose a 'giveaway' product of their choice by referring a Blogger who attends.
• Best for last? Of course there will be goodie bags and giveaways!

Company Spotlight: Thevi

Have you tried Thevi yet? A new brand in the cosmetics market, Thevi (IMO) is doing everything right to secure a place in the history of makeup. They have a large variety of good products and they have the best customer service. Add to that their fabulous blog & Twitter & Youtube presence, and you really start thinking why the hell am I not paying attention to Thevi?

Just because we're not a part of 'Desperate Housewives' doesn't we mean we can't try to at least get their stunning styles... and no, I don't mean Edie's revealing lingerie scenes..

Eva Longoria's character Gaby may not be the most generous woman on Wisteria Lane, but she sure knows how to please a crowd. Here's our step-by-step THEVI Guide to a wonderful Eva Longoria inspired look with only 3 makeup THEVI products! [Youtube Tutorial of this look available]

1. Lightly dust each eyelid using the THEVI Oatmeal Eyeshadow with your shadow brush. Remember to cover all of your eyelid, all the way up to the bottom of your eyebrows for that extra lighting effect which really gives your entire look an extra little something.

2. Then using the same shadow brush, gently gather some color with the same shadow brush of your THEVI Dark Brown Matte Eyeshadow.

The beauty of using the same brush throughout your makeup routine is to assist you in the blending process.

Gently apply the color, from your lash line, in upward motions towards your browline. As you approach your eyebrows, the intensity of the color should lessen.

A helpful hint from our THEVI Makeup Artists is to use pressed powder to cover any mistakes, never try to remove the eyecolor!

3.Finally, use your THEVI Mocha Mate Duo for the perfect contouring helper for some beautiful model cheek bones.

Locate the apples of your cheeks by smiling and then sweep the darker shade immediately below this region. Use the lighter color directly on the apples for a shimmery effect.

Voila! We may not be A- list actresses or be raking in their big bucks but we sure can look just as glamorous and irresistible!
